More Knights!

Of course I had to make a Knight Hoodie for my princess as well.  So my castle is completely safe now with to knights guarding it :)  It is a wonderfully charming pattern by Charming doodle it was one of three patterns I received for the month of March for being a pattern member with the sewing rabbit.  I can't wait for tomorrow when we get three new patterns to play with in April.

I used  a double sided fleece again this time in pink and red and I omitted the face armor on this one too.

Best friends!

I kind of messed up the zipper but I hope nobody looks that closely at it, she doesn't stay still for that long anyway! :)

I'll be back soon with the dress I'm just finishing up which also was a part of my March package.

My Knight in Blue Armor

A few weeks ago I became a Pattern Member of the Sewing Rabbit.  You get 3 patterns each month and it's a great community to get to know other people with sewing addiction and share your projects. This first month we got the cool Knight Hoodie, the practical Toiletry Travel Bag and the sweet Madeline Dress.

So far I have sewn up a hoodie for my littlest man, let me tell you he LOVES it!  And now my little lady wants one as well and I just can't say no when they want me to sew them something so I bought some more fleece to make her one too, and its already washed just needs to dry before I can start on a pink knight hoodie.

For Viktors hoodie I used a light blue and navy double sided fleece.  I omitted the face armor since he doesn't like zippers in his face, otherwise I followed the pattern.  I did a size 5 even though size 4 would probably have been spot on but I wanted it to be more of a jacket then a sweater, and a little room to grow in doesn't hurt either.

Are we done already...?

Now he has a nice and warm fleece hoodie for early spring, and its big enough that he will still be able to wear it in the fall.

I better start tracing a size 3 for the lady of the house, I'll post that one as soon as it's ready!

Oh so Heavenly!

A few weeks ago I bought two patterns from Figgy's new Heavenly collection, The Stellar Tunic and The Ethereal Dress.  I have already sewn up The Stellar Tunic but haven't gotten around to do the Ethereal dress just yet, but I will soon because I was planning to use that one for Anita's Easter dress.

The Stellar Tunic turned out great, although I got a tiny bit nervous when cutting all those pieces for the sleeves and as that wasn't enough of small pieces I decided to do a little color blocking on the body as well.  Mostly because obviously it had to be pink and I find that often dresses look like nightgowns when they are a solid pink color.

Sorry about the bad photos that follow!  I promise I'll start taking better photos!

And to crazy hair photos :)

It really was fun to sew and I totally see myself making many more of these.  I think it is a great comfortable play dress and not to mention stylish!  And the best part my little stubborn princess likes it a lot!  A total WIN :)

As I followed the Heavenly Tour all over blogland I participated in some of the contests for a chance to win a pattern and what do know I - WON - the Celestial maxi skirt on CailaMade! I never win anything so I was over the moon I was so happy :)

I don't have photos of the skirt just yet, but Anita loves that one as well! :)
